In a significant step towards fulfilling his development promises, the Vice Chairman and Political Head of the Wewe Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Abdulrahman Oyedokun Tiamiyu, has overseen the grading of several key roads within the Sakí community. The road grading project, aimed at improving the area’s infrastructure, is part of Tiamiyu’s broader commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

The roads that were graded include the Winners Chapel to Aduke area, Challenge area, Agolabi area via Asabari Grammar School, Aisha area on Ogbooro road, and Fehintola area in Challenge I. These efforts mark the beginning of what Hon. Tiamiyu describes as “just the tip of the iceberg” in terms of the development projects and social services planned for the LCDA.

Hon. Tiamiyu expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and people-oriented programs, which have inspired and guided local initiatives like this one. He also acknowledged the unwavering support of the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola, whose backing was instrumental in the successful completion of the road projects.

The grading of these roads has been met with widespread appreciation from the beneficiary communities. In particular, the Aisha community has expressed their gratitude, with the community chairman, Mr. Azeez Suaib (known as Sports Water), praising Hon. Tiamiyu for his dedication and proactive approach.

Mr. Suaib highlighted that the road improvements are crucial for protecting the community from the persistent threat of erosion, a concern that has troubled residents for some time. The community credits Hon. Tiamiyu’s leadership and support for mobilizing the necessary resources and efforts to address this issue effectively.

As Hon. Tiamiyu continues to roll out more developmental projects, the people of Wewe LCDA are optimistic about the positive changes that lie ahead under his administration.
