The Great Club of Oke Ogun, Saki, has joined the chorus of tributes following the passing of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, a revered statesman and a distinguished leader from the Oke Ogun region. The club, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Daud Aderogba, expressed profound grief over the loss of a man whose life was marked by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Oke Ogun and beyond.
In a statement issued on behalf of the club, Alhaji Aderogba described Chief Koleosho as a pillar of strength and a guiding light for many within the Oke Ogun community. “Chief Michael Koleosho was not just a leader; he was a mentor, a visionary, and a true son of Oke Ogun. His contributions to the socio-economic and educational advancement of our region are immeasurable,” Aderogba said.
The Great Club of Oke Ogun highlighted Chief Koleosho’s legacy as one that will continue to inspire future generations. Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, who also held the title of Babalaje of Saki Land, was a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and a former National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy. He was recently honored by Governor Seyi Makinde, who renamed the Oke Ogun Polytechnic after him, recognizing his monumental contributions to education and public service in Oyo State.
