President Bola Tinubu has approved a reorganization of the State House media and communications team to enhance the efficiency of the government’s communication machinery.
The restructuring involves changes to the roles of two recently appointed officials:
- Sunday Dare: Previously designated as Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, he will now serve as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications.
- Daniel Bwala: Initially announced as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication, he has been reassigned as Special Adviser, Policy Communication.
These roles complement the existing position of Special Adviser, Information and Strategy, held by Bayo Onanuga.
According to Onanuga, the Presidency does not have a single individual spokesperson. Instead, the three Special Advisers will collectively serve as spokespersons for the government, ensuring effective and consistent communication of policies, decisions, and engagements.
This announcement reinforces the Presidency’s commitment to streamlined and collaborative communication.
