In a significant move to fulfill his election campaign promises, the Executive Chairman of Saki East Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Prince Adedokun Emmanuel Olalekan, flagged off the grading of two major roads in the area. The roads, which are critical for transportation and economic activities, are the Ago-Amodu to Ogbooro road, spanning 15 kilometers, and the Ogbooro to Agbonle road, which stretches over 24 kilometers.

At the event, Hon. Adedokun expressed his gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the funding for the grading of these roads, praising the governor for his people-oriented policies and support for local government development. The road grading, according to the chairman, is expected to boost the local economy by improving the ease of transportation, particularly for farm produce, which will significantly enhance trade and prosperity in the region.
The occasion also provided Hon. Adedokun an opportunity to inspect the repair works on manual boreholes at Ago-Amodu and Oje Owode. These boreholes, which had been abandoned for years, have now been fully repaired and are functional, thanks to the efforts of the current administration. In addition to this, the chairman informed the gathering of the financial support of 500,000 Naira his administration had provided to the Agbonle community for the construction of a police post.
Highlighting his administration’s commitment to security, Adedokun revealed that the construction of an Amotekun post is currently underway in Ogbooro. Ogbooro is the only town in Saki East that had not yet provided a proper office for the Amotekun security outfit, although the other four towns in the local government area had already secured accommodation for the force.

In his address, Hon. Adedokun, who was previously the Secretary of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in the local government, expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support from the communities, party members, and stakeholders. He assured the people that the grading works would be completed soon and promised that other developmental projects would follow, with continued backing from Governor Seyi Makinde.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by several key figures, including Hon. Rasaq Moruf Adeyemi, Vice Chairman of the local government; Hon. Awosola Julius, Leader of the House; Hon. Waliu Waheed, Secretary to the Local Government; Olagbenro Michael Olabisi, Chief of Staff; Alhaji Mudasiru Balogun, PDP LG Chairman; Councillors; Supervisors; and other political functionaries. Additionally, Engr.
