The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education and security by distributing exercise books to public primary school pupils and motorcycles to security operatives. The event, held in Saki, highlighted the chairman’s efforts to improve learning and safety in the local government area.

Hon. Akinola emphasized that education remains a top priority for his administration, aligning with the policies of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on education and security. He distributed 60-leaf exercise books to pupils from some schools, with assurances that pupils in other schools would receive theirs directly at their respective schools.

The chairman also provided motorcycles to security operatives to bolster the local security network, underscoring his administration’s dedication to protecting lives and property.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Akinola highlighted some of his administration’s achievements, including the installation of a motorized borehole at Ekokan, maintaining cleanliness and order at Sango Market, clearing overgrown grass along the Saki dual carriageway, enforcing regulations against illegal parking, and distributing palliative materials to vulnerable residents. He also mentioned the installation of solar-powered lights at various locations in Saki, ensuring peace during the Gbenpakan crisis, and road maintenance efforts across the local government area.

The event was attended by key stakeholders, including Mrs Dorcas Funmi Akinola, wife of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman of Saki West and political head of Wewe LCDA, Hon. Rahman Oyedokun Tiamiyu; Leader of the House, Hon. Salaudeen Abiola Abiodun; Secretary to the Local Government and Political Head of Asabari LCDA, Hon. Felix Kolade Ojo; and Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Waheed Oluwakemi.
