The Saki West Local Government Muslim Community has concluded arrangements for a befitting send-forth ceremony to honor the outgoing Chairman, Rtd. CP Alhaji Sulaiman Lawal Olalere Oroyinyin, and other members of the executive council.
Speaking on behalf of the Planning Committee, its Chairman, Alhaji Kasali Adewale, highlighted the exemplary leadership of the Oroyinyin-led administration, describing their service to the Muslim community as meritorious. He noted that the ceremony would be a celebration of their significant contributions to the growth and unity of the Muslim community in the area.
The event is scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the College of Nursing Sciences, Muslim Medical Foundation, Muslim Hospital, Ogbooro Road, Saki, starting at 10 a.m.
The Guest Lecturer for the occasion is Associate Professor Abdul-Lateef Adekunle Owoade from the Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin. He will speak on the topic: “Unity of Muslims: Sacrosanct.”
Dignitaries expected at the event include the Chairman of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo; the Chairman of Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Isiaq Adekunle Sanni; His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Surv. Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo III, Ilugbemidepo, the Okere of Sakiland; prominent Muslim stakeholders; and other notable figures.
The ceremony is anticipated to draw a large gathering of well-wishers, as the community celebrates the remarkable achievements of the outgoing executives.
