Beneficiaries of Hon. Ayoade Akeem Adewale’s free UTME forms—brilliant but indigent students selected across the council area—have been charged to pursue their dreams with the utmost tenacity, dedicate their time to their studies, and remain committed to academic excellence to ensure success in the upcoming UTME examination.
This charge was given by the political head administrator of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Ayoade Akeem Adewale, while presenting the forms to the beneficiaries in a low-key programme at the council secretariat.
Ayoade emphasized that education is the foundation of development, noting that training a child translates to building a stronger nation, ultimately leading to more progress in society.
He acknowledged the economic and financial challenges that may prevent some vulnerable yet brilliant students from pursuing tertiary education, highlighting the need to alleviate this burden on parents and provide opportunities for young minds to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
The council boss further stated that this initiative aligns with His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde FNSE, DSc, GSSRS’s vision of advancing the education sector and promoting qualitative education for the youth at the grassroots level.
He urged the beneficiaries to see this opportunity as a motivation to study diligently and prepare for their future aspirations.
Ayoade then congratulated the students, advising them to be prepared for the future, uphold the values of their parents, the LCDA, and the state, and to shun all forms of social vices when they eventually gain admission into higher institutions.
Earlier in his address, the head of local government administration, Deacon Ajebisi Olabode, commended the political head’s noble gesture and urged the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity by committing themselves fully to excelling in the examination.
Speaking on behalf of all the beneficiaries, Mrs. Mary Ojo expressed gratitude to the council leadership, especially the political head, for the invaluable privilege. She assured them of her commitment to making them proud in the examination and beyond.
