The Muslim Staff Community of Saki West Local Government has announced a public lecture themed “The Ideal Muslim Home Concerning the Inordinate Ambition of Our Younger Generations.” The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Saki West Local Government Premises.
The lecture aims to address the challenges posed by excessive ambition among young people and provide Islamic perspectives on building a morally upright and balanced home.
The guest lecturer, Alhaji Barrister Imran Atilola, the Grand Chief Imam of Tede land, is expected to provide insightful guidance on the topic. The event will be hosted by Hon. Olugbenga Olaleye Akinola, the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, alongside Alhaji Sanitarian Shittu Musbaudeen, the Acting Head of Local Government Administration (Ag. HLGA), and Alhaji Oladoja Jimoh, the Imam of the Saki West LG Secretariat Mosque.
Speaking on the significance of the lecture, the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Ramadan Programme, Sanitarian Lawal Sefiu, emphasized the need for moral reorientation among the younger generation. He noted that the increasing pressure for material success has led many youths astray, making it necessary to reinforce Islamic teachings on family values and contentment.
“Our goal is to educate and guide our youth on the importance of a balanced life, where ambition is pursued with integrity and within the moral framework of Islam. We invite everyone to attend and benefit from this important discourse,” he said.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Muslim Staff Community to fostering moral and ethical values within society, particularly in guiding the younger generation toward responsible ambition and strong family foundations.
