Tragedy struck in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel and well-known socialite, Adesoji Adeleye, was found dead in his hotel room in the early hours of Tuesday.
Adeleye, who had chosen to spend the night at his hotel located in the Arakale area, was discovered brutally stabbed multiple times by unidentified attackers. Sources say the perpetrators gained access to his room unnoticed, despite other occupants being present in the hotel at the time.
One of his close associates, who had spent time with him on Monday night, revealed that they had parted ways with the intention of meeting again on Tuesday. The shocking news of Adeleye’s murder came as a devastating blow.
The Ondo State Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident. The Command’s spokesperson, Alayande Olusola, confirmed the killing and assured that officers are working diligently to apprehend those responsible.
