Saki West Local Government’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola, has mandated motorists to cease parking on the town’s dual carriage roads.
Last Friday, Hon. Akinola announced this directive from his office, granting a seven-day deadline for the removal of all illegally parked vehicles.

The council chairman, having already overseen the clearance of overgrown grasses along the road, emphasized the importance of this initiative. He revealed that meetings have been conducted with key stakeholders, security agencies, and transporters to discuss the necessity of maintaining an orderly and attractive roadway.
Hon. Akinola highlighted that illegal parking not only mars the road’s appearance but also poses significant safety risks, including the potential for accidents.

He warned that, following the seven days, any violations of this directive will be met with strict legal consequences.
