The Crescent Club of Saki has described the death of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho as a colossal loss to the Saki Community, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
While condoling with the Saki community, the Club’s chairman, Alhaji Khalid Ajibade, described the death of the elder statesman as an unquantifiable loss.
He said that the one-time Secretary to the Oyo State Government had done so much for his Saki community, and among his legacies is the Saki Campus of the Polytechnic Ibadan, now The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, and he influenced the siting of the headquarters of the then ONADED now OYSADA in the early 80s.
Chief Koleosho had brought the great game to Saki through his deepest involvement in partisan politics. The late sage was the pillar of Lam Adesina’s administration when he served as the SSG.
He was a former commissioner for Works and Transport during the late Chief Bola Ige, former national chairman of Alliance for Democracy and the Babalaje of Sakiland. His imprints will, no doubt, endure for generations to come.
Alhaji Ajibade called on the Oyo State Government not to localize the immortalization of Chief Koleosho but to look for a vital road, an institution, or an important center to name after the great icon.
The Club’s chairman also urged the politicians in Saki to use their position to bring development to their community.
“You have to borrow a leaf from the deceased who used his political power to bring development to his area. Remember we are all going to be history one day, he concluded”
