In a move aimed at solidifying local governance, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has appointed Kolade Felix Ojo as the Secretary of Saki West Local Government, with Segun Olujimi and Lateefat Yekeen serving as assistant secretaries. The appointments were conveyed through a letter addressed to the Executive Chairman of Saki West LG, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola.
Kolade Felix Ojo, who is the Chairman of the Accord Party in Oyo State, has been entrusted with dual responsibilities. In addition to his role as Secretary of Saki West LG, he will serve as the political head of Asabari LCDA. Ojo’s appointment is seen as a reward for the support his party extended to Governor Makinde during the 2023 governorship election, which played a key role in the governor’s re-election. Ojo is well-known in the community and is active in several clubs, such as Leading star, Intimate club and others. He hails from the prominent Baale Oke-Oro’s quarters.
Deacon Segun Olujimi, a retired principal with a successful career in education, brings a wealth of experience that is expected to contribute significantly to the development of Saki West LG. Meanwhile, Lateefat Yekeen, recognized as a woman of integrity, will help elevate the status of women in the local government, adding diversity to the leadership team.
With these appointments, Governor Makinde has completed the administrative framework for the local government, signaling a commitment to grassroots development and governance. The newly appointed officials are expected to drive progress and enhance service delivery at the local level.
