Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade, Chairman of ATISBO Local Government Area in Oyo State, marked his first 100 days in office with the commissioning of several critical projects aimed at improving security and infrastructure within the community. These projects included the construction of a block of three offices with a toilet and cell for the Amotekun security post in Ago-Are, a two-room office with a toilet and cell for the police security post in the Alakuko area of Tede, and a motorized borehole in Irawo, all of which were inaugurated on Thursday.

Speaking during the event, Alade outlined some of his administration’s other key accomplishments, such as the renovation and restocking of the local government poultry with 250 point-of-lay birds for egg production, the distribution of food commodities to vulnerable and impoverished residents, and the strengthening of the local vigilante force by providing the necessary equipment. He also emphasized efforts to enhance local government operations, including furnishing and equipping offices to improve performance and purchasing computers to streamline administrative tasks.

Alade, who previously served as secretary of the local government, expressed deep gratitude to the people of ATISBO for their continued support and cooperation. He also thanked Governor Seyi Makinde, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and local stakeholders for their trust in him, vowing to remain committed to collaborative efforts to ensure the progress of ATISBO Local Government Area.
“I am thrilled to mark my first 100 days in office with the commissioning of these vital projects, which demonstrate our commitment to enhancing security, infrastructure, and livelihoods in ATISBO Local Government Area,” Alade said. “Our achievements would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of the people of ATISBO, and I express my deepest gratitude to them. We are dedicated to working tirelessly to address the challenges facing our community, and I pledge to continue collaborating with all stakeholders to make ATISBO LG great.”
In addition to the chairman’s remarks, Barrister Niyi Farinto, former Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government and former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, commended Alade for the security-focused projects. He noted that the new facilities would be crucial for addressing the security concerns of the communities.
Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Secretary of the PDP in Oyo State, also praised the chairman’s efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to the grassroots. He acknowledged Alade’s commitment to complementing Governor Makinde’s administration at the local level.
