The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced the release of the names of 5,600 newly recruited primary school teachers and 80 caregivers in the state.
The SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, disclosed this in Ibadan, stating that the list had been approved by Governor Seyi Makinde. According to him, these new recruits represent the first batch of successful applicants from the recently conducted OYOSUBEB recruitment exercise.
Applicants are advised to check the list by visiting the job portal at https://www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, where it will be available starting Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Dr. Adeniran noted that the 5,600 teaching candidates and 80 caregivers on the list will undergo a verification exercise at the Board’s headquarters. Specific dates for the verification process and additional details will be communicated to the successful candidates in due course.
The Chairman emphasized that the recruitment process was transparent and free from political, religious, ethnic, or gender bias, focusing solely on merit. He urged the new employees to view their appointments as a call to duty, encouraging them to demonstrate diligence and dedication in their roles.
Dr. Adeniran also assured the public that the recruitment exercise remains ongoing, with more successful applicants to be employed in subsequent batches.
